We’re grateful for the opportunity to have shot and edited this video for HISTORY featuring Opal Lee, the legendary activist and “grandmother of Juneteenth” who, at 89 years old, marched from Texas to Washington, D.C. to raise awareness about the need to recognize Juneteenth as a federal holiday. To this day, Miss Opal has continued fighting for racial equity and inspiring those around her.
